Marinette Wisconsin Richard's first assigned area is located along the banks of Green Bay. Marinette is at the top of Wisconsin and boarders Menominee, Michigan. Marinette is named after an early fur-traders common law wife Marie Antoinette Chevalier who ran a trading post. She was of French and Native American descent. 50 miles South of Marinette is the city of Green Bay home to the Green Bay Packers.

Interesting facts from the 2010 Census for Marinette; Population 10,968, 6.2% of the population is under the age of 5, 22.3% are 18-years of age or under, 17.9% are 65-years of age or older, and 52.3% are female. The median household income is $37,016. Marinette is home to a variety of industries including shipbuilding, auto parts, chemicals, helicopters, airplane components, pressure vessels, and paper making.
Marinette is made up of 8.0 square miles of which 6.8 square miles of it is land and 1.2 square miles of it is water. Marinette County is also well known as the waterfall capital of Wisconsin. There are total of 14 beautiful waterfalls located in Marinette.
